Riding Lessons & Clinics
8 week Jr. riding program offered this summer!
New this season, is our Tuesday morning riding program! This program is designed for graduates of our pony camp with some experience to further develop their riding skills. Riding takes an incredible amount of strength and focus to control a large animal! These 1.5-hour sessions for 9–12-year-olds will be very limited in size and can be used to supplement pony camp, or for those who have outgrown pony camp and still would like to ride and spend time at the farm. This 8 week session will be rain or shine as is our camp, and begins on June 25th and runs through August 13th. Included in the session will be grooming, tacking up etc.
Riding helmets and appropriate footwear are required!
The cost of the program is $450.00 for the 8 week session
Registration is due by May 1st

Different Drummer Farm has been offering top quality lessons for over forty five years. Hunt seat equitation, hunters and good horsemanship have been our Specialty. Riders from DDF have gone on to win NE titles, ride for their college teams, become professionals in the industry and all-around great horsemen. While we no longer have a large public lesson program, we still offer lessons to horse owners who can truck in for tune ups, regular lessons or help with green horses. We also offer introductory lessons to beginning riders. Lessons are in progress April through November. We have a large outdoor ring with a variety of jumps and equipment. Trainer, Jodi Fortier, also travels for lessons, judging and clinics and brings along 48 years of experience teaching and training.
Lesson rates are $65 for private lessons or $60 for semi private or group options. all beginning lessons include time to learn grooming and tacking up, as well as care of the pony following the lesson.
